Greece is 4th in deadly traffic accidents in Europe!
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
In 2016 there were 75 deaths per million people from traffic accidents, while in 2015 the number was 73 deaths per million people!
According to the data Greece is on the forth position in the list under only Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Latvia.
Although the European target was to reduce the number of victims from 31.500 in 2010 to half that number by 2020, everybody in the EU seems to accept as a fact that this objective will not be met.
As the European Transportation Commissioner stated “today we will lose 70 people on the roads and the injured will be five times that number”.
