A police operation ended the occupation of the Athens University Law School premises earlier on Tuesday with the arrest of 28 individuals, Greek police said.
The premises had been occupied as of Monday night in support of Palestine.
In a statement, the police said that there were 10 men and 18 women arrested, including 9 foreign nationals who were unrelated to the Law School. Of the Greeks arrested, 15 stated they were students. Authorities confiscated smoke bombs, clubs, flags, masks and helmets.
The foreigners included nationals of the following countries: Spain (1 person), France (3), Germany (2), Italy (2), and Britain (1).
All 28 were charged individually with felonies ranging from disturbing the peace, damaging other people's property, disobedience, to breach of law on weapons and flares.
All were expected to appear before a prosecutor.
