CERAWeek in Houston, Texas, is to be attended next week by Energy Secretary George Stathakis.
Mr. Stathakis will speak at a meeting concerning natural gas in the Eastern Mediterranean on 13 March, with Egyptian oil minister Tarek El Mola, Cyprus Energy Minister Yorgos Lakkotropis and the Israeli Energy Minister Juwal Steinich.
Naturally, the new gas discoveries in the region of the Mediterranean Sea are expected to be the focus of the meeting, as well as the efforts to extract it through pipelines or LNG, as well as the hydrocarbon research of Greece in the Ionian and Crete.
The Greek Minister will also have the opportunity to talk with major oil companies that are already interested or "expressing" interest in East Mediterranean research and Greek efforts.
