President Sakellaropoulou to visit Komotini

The President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou is paying a visit to Komotini on Friday as part of her three-day visit to Thrace.
On Thursday she visited Xanthi and called the city "a rare model of symbiosis" following a special programme to educate and integrate Greek Muslim students that began in 1997.
Sakellaropoulou is currently touring the region, which she said had "always been an incubator for education, as all Greek cities of Thrace had a school, even before the 19th century."
