Lengthy discussion between Macron and Mitsotakis in Paris - Missile sale to Turkey tabled

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Presidential Palace of the Champs Elysees in Paris.
Their meeting lasted one hour, during which they discussed issues concerning bilateral relations and European current affairs.
The discussion also focused on the competitiveness of the European economy in connection with the role of artificial intelligence. On European defence issues, Mitsotakis and Macron agreed that increased budgetary flexibility is needed for member states wishing to increase their investment spending in the defence sector.
Apparently, according to information, in the meeting with the French president, the Greek prime minister also raised the issue of selling Meteor missiles to Turkey.
Finally, Emmanuel Macron and Kyriakos Mitsotakis agreed that increased fiscal flexibility is needed for member states that want to invest in defense.
