CEO of JP Morgan Chase: Mitsotakis is an excellent leader - Greece is on the list of successful countries

In his annual letter to shareholders published this week, in which he deals extensively with the concept of leadership and the cooperation of the state with the private sector, the experienced banker stands for countries that have implemented the right policies and as a result "are capable of achieving impressive results."

"Think of Ireland, Singapore, South Korea and Sweden. Even Greece, which for years was the weakest country in Europe, but has managed to change course, under the guidance of an exceptional political leader," notes Dimon, who has been at the "helm" of JP Morgan for the last twenty years.

In his text, Dimon makes many references to the political virtues that a successful leader needs. He states, among other things, that a leader must make the right choices, in detail, in both politics and policies, while at the same time explaining his strategy to citizens, not simply reacting to popular demands.

Dimon has met in the past with Kyriakos Mitsotakis and has highlighted Greece’s successful recovery in recent years. In early 2024, he had welcomed the “reasonable policies and reforms” that our country has adopted, noting that Greece has now “embrace a healthy path to economic growth” and is attracting “strong interest from the international investment community for Greek businesses.”

Jamie Dimon's "vote of confidence" comes at a time when US President Donald Trump acknowledged the message sent by Kyriakos Mitsotakis about the possibility of finding a mutually beneficial solution to the trade dispute between the US and the European Union.

"I agree," said Trump when asked about the prime minister's statement about a possible "win-win" solution, while, referring to Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he added: "I know him, he's a good man. I appreciate his comments.
