Alexandroupolis: World Bicycle Day with donation of old bicycles to children in need
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
By encouraging families in the Municipality of Alexandroupolis to donate children's bicycles that are no longer used, the municipal authority celebrates World Bicycle Day.
With this initiative, children who do not have the opportunity to own a bicycle are given the opportunity to enjoy joyful rides with smiles as well as the unique sense of freedom that cycling offers.
In particular, from tomorrow until Friday, parents and children are invited to participate in this solidarity and donation initiative, which is based on the principle of the social policy of the Municipality of Alexandroupolis that joining forces creates a more humane and supportive Municipality.
The bicycles will be collected on the specific days from 9:00 to 15:00 at the Public Relations office (ground floor of City Hall) - and if necessary, they will be repaired - and will be delivered to families who are unable to offer them to their children.
