Evros: Migrant crossed into Greece injured - He was shot at by the Turkish side

A migrant who crossed into Greece via the Evros River was seriously injured by a firearm and was transferred to a hospital in Alexandroupolis on Wednesday morning.
Specifically, according to information, the man was shot by the Turkish side for a reason that is still unknown.
A further irregular migrant was also identified with the injured person, who does not bear any visible injuries. The Greek police authorities are expected to take a statement from the injured person as soon as his health allows it, in order to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The case has raised alarm among the local authorities in Evros, as this is yet another case of a migrant being attacked while entering the country, confirming concerns about security at the borders.
