A migrant who crossed into Greece via the Evros River was seriously injured by a firearm and was transferred to a hospital in Alexandroupolis on Wednesday morning.

In a social media post, the Minister of Migration and Asylum, Thanos Plevris, referred to a recent incident in Syntagma Square where a migrant attacked and verbally abused the Evzones in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. As he emphasized, the man ignored the principles and values of the country.

A 20-year-old girl reportedly fell victim to attempted rape by a young migrant in the capital city of Lesvos, Mytilene.
