Turkey sent a letter to NATO, EU and US about Patriot missiles in Karpathos

In early March, as the conflicts in the Middle East had begun, Greece decided to transfer a Patriot missile battery to Karpathos. This is an air defense system that, being located on the border island, shields the southeastern Aegean.

According to "Milliyet", citing diplomatic sources, Turkey informed NATO, the EU and the US about the Greek moves.

"Greece is making new efforts to turn the war into an opportunity," the Turkish newspaper writes. "Athens, which violates the laws of the islands that should be demilitarized, has added a new dimension to it by deploying Patriot missiles to Karpathos," the relevant report reads.
