Athens Municipality Auctions House for 751 Euro Debt

The Athens municipality is putting up a house worth 200,000 euros for auction against the debt of the owner worth 751 euros.
The case has come to light after an initiative by municipal counselor Stelios Lambrou brought it up in the municipal council.
According to reports in the press the municipality's financial services have confiscated a house in the neighborhood of Skouze Hill,with an area of 91 square meters on a 192 meter plot and is putting up for auction at a starting bid of 160,000 euros.
Athens mayor Giorgos Kaminis promised to look into the matter and to face the issue in the best possible manner.
