Third seaplane base at Amfilochia

The construction of a third seaplane landing strip and accompanying facilities is foreseen by plans of Hellenic Seaplanes, which is also participating in bids for other landing sites.
The construction of a third seaplane landing strip and accompanying facilities is foreseen by plans of Hellenic Seaplanes, which is also participating in bids for other landing sites around Greece
The third stop for the seaplanes, after Skyros and Alonnisos will be Amfilochia.
The contract winner is a Hellenic Seaplanes subsidiary that was picked after due process by the Amfilochia Port Authority Fund.
Hellenic Seaplanes plans to operate scheduled flights from Athens to all Greek islands, coastal ports and lakes where the current transportation system is inadequate and/or problematic. Scheduled routes will be established based on demand generated from the local communities and its partners.
Hellenic Seaplanes will also perform scenic flights over the Greek Islands in combination with a variety of excursion package, and will provides the possibility of chartered flights with a seat capacity of up to 19 passengers.
