DIMAR Leader Kouvelis Condemns GD Supporters
Democratic Left leader Fotis Kouvelis harshly criticized Golden Dawn supporters today.
The politician stated: "Any kind of relationship with the Golden Dawn, direct or indirect, is absolutely unacceptable", according to ANA-MPA. The liberal delegate added: "Any 'wink' to its members and voters offends democratic citizens. The political forces that constitute the democratic arc in our country ought, without second thoughts or half-truths, to distance themselves clearly from phenomena and practices that undermine democracy".
The extremely right-winged Golden Dawn party has gained increased support, during this week's local elections. The political body generated 16% of total votes, regarding the mayoral race in Athens.
