PPC Partial Privatization Debate Unapproved
Today, the Greek Parliament shot down opposition party's proposals calling for a debate, concerning PPC's partial privatization, according to reports.
Supervising delegate Christos Markoyiannakis confirmed hat the act was not approved by a minimum of 120 MPs, which is required for the proposal to progress.
New Democracy and PASOK shot down the proposal, while DIMAR and Golden Dawn abstained from voting. SYRIZA who founded the proposal, termed the debate a "parody" and a "deeply undemocratic constitutional aberration", according to ekathimerini.
