Michael Rigas, of Greek descent, has been appointed Deputy Secretary of State by Donald Trump.

He holds an MA in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Economics from Boston University, with an emphasis in international trade and finance. Michael is a warrior who knows how government works and will help Make America Great Again!”

Michael Rigas had also been utilized by the previous Trump administration in recent months, as in March 2020 he had assumed the position of Deputy Director of the United States Office of Personnel Management and Acting Deputy Director for Management in the Office of Management and Budget.

In previous years, Rigas has worked in the private and public sectors with the aim of improving organizational performance and streamlining operations.

At the General Services Administration (GSA), Michael Rigas served as Senior Advisor and Deputy Administrator. At the Massachusetts Department of Veterans Services, he served as Chief of Staff and later at the Heritage Foundation in Washington.

In the private sector, he worked at Mellon Financial Corporation and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

He holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor's and master's degree in economics from Boston University.
