A man wanted by Interpol was arrested in Aigio. The 55-year-old, according to information from tempo24.news, had committed murder in 1999, killing a Greek in Australia where he was residing.
According to the same information, the 55-year-old came to Greece, changed his name and ended up in Aigio where he was his permanent residence. The 55-year-old was wanted with an Interpol red notice, as the fact that he had managed to change continent and his name made it difficult for the authorities to locate him.
The police managed to use information and evidence to verify his details and arrest him. The prescribed procedures for his extradition will follow.
