Cypriot Tourism Increases
Cyprus received an additional amount of tourist arrivals last month, compared to December of 2013, by 3.7%, as confirmed by the Cyprus Statistical Service.
On an annual basis between January to December, the nation held a 1.5% tourism increase. The total number of tourists amounted to 2,441,239 for 2014, in comparison to 2,405,390 in 2013.
A December 2014 Passengers Survey revealed that arrivals were 56,863, while December 2013 were at 54,813. Greek travelers rose to 8,263 from 7,577, marking a 9.1% increase, while travelers from the United Kingdom soared by 5.1% to 17,995 from 17,115, in the same months. Yet Russian travel trends dropped by 12.5% to 4,956 from 5,664 individuals.
