Cyprus' Anastasiades to send security forces for the protection of Greek borders

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades spoke on the phone with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Sunday, as he posted on Twitter, in order to inform him that Cyprus is ready to send security forces for the protection of Greek borders, that are also the borders of Europe.
Anastasiades added that his proposal has been accepted.

Reconciliation with Turkey should only come with a price

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is threatening to fight the Syrian army directly if Syrian President Bashar Assad does not stop his assault on Idlib, the last major zone controlled by the Syrian opposition. While Erdogan imagined himself a master tactician, he is now learning that it was Russian President Vladimir Putin who played him. Erdogan discarded decades of alliance with the United States for a brief fling, only to discover Putin’s professions of love were for more limited aims.

Photos of Cypriot Commandos in snow drill

On Wednesday, the Cypriot National Guard posted photos of winter training exercises carried out at Mount Troodos by the Commandos unit. The personnel that took part in the exercises included officers, non-commissioned officers, conscripts and contracted conscripts, men and women.
