Thessaloniki's PhotoBiennale On Display
Thessaloniki's Museum of Photography launched its PhotoBiennale "Time, Place, Logos" on May 9th, which marks the nation's biggest photography exhibit.
The imagery exhibition is being held until this summer's end. As reported by Kathimerini, The Museum's Director Vangelis Ioakimidis described, "The PhotoBiennale is a celebration of photography, and it is a great opportunity to discover pieces of art, artists and spaces through a wide range of events...It is actually a good reason to visit Thessaloniki".
The photographs are distributed at different locations around Greece's second largest city, such as an old army warehouse, the Museum's brick-and-steel waterfront location, along with the Museum of the Thessaloniki Ancient Agora and various archaeological sites.
The PhotoBiennale showcases works of internationally acclaimed artists, along with Greek photographers. Nikos Markou's "Life Narratives" is on display, that is a video depiction of interviews collaborated with portraits. New York's Kostas Kiritsis "Self-Portraits" is featured, that documents his self-discovery quest.
