A Polish man, for whom a European arrest warrant was pending, was arrested after fourteen years, on Crete.
He is a 51-year-old robber who, in 2003, had invaded the home of an unsuspecting man in Poland, and had brutally beat the landlord at the time of robbery.
In fact, the wounds that the unfortunate man sustained were so heavy that he left his last breath a little later.
Thus, a European arrest warrant for robbery with simultaneous threat to life and healthand causing bodily harm that led to death was pending for fourteen consecutive years against the 51-year-old, until he was found on the island of Crete.
In particular, on Sunday afternoon, the 51-year-old Pole was arrested in the municipality of Sitia, by police officers of the Sitia police station. The procedures provided for extradition are to be followed.
