The revelations of the German artist, photographer and activist, Rebecca Somer, about the sad events that unfolded in Mytilene last week are shocking. Somer is one of the people who knows the ins and outs of managing refugee flows. Lately she was in Mytilene and recorded what is happening at the Reception and Identification Center of Moria.

A total of 23 people, including several migrants arrested on Monday, were held as of Tuesday for violent incidents in April 26 and 27 at the refugee reception and identification center at Vathi, Samos, which resulted in the burning down of part of the asylum seekers' camp there, local police reported on Tuesday. 

Eight asylum applicants on Samos island were arrested on Monday on charges of participating in a criminal gang and for arson, disturbing the peace, destruction of property and extortion.
