The Poets Circle will hold the 3rd Athens World Poetry Festival, from September 18 to September 23,  at a number of iconic cultural centres in Athens.

AEK Athens have made a dream start in the Europa League campaign in Group D against Croatian side Rijeka, as the Athenian team came away with a huge victory (2-1). Mantalos opened the score for visiting AEK on 16 minutes, with home side getting back on equal terms in the 29th minute. AEK clinched the 3 points on 62 minutes with a Christodoulopoulos goal.

EuroGroup President Jeroen Dijsslebloem said the meeting was short adding that the debate was not intense. As he explained during the press conference, the Finance Ministers received the reports drafted by technical staff in Athens in order to move rapidly forward with the 3rd review of the Greek programme.

The European Commission has responded to Greece's request and sent an anti-pollution vessel to assist in efforts to clean up an oil spill in the Saronic Gulf.
