Featured New British series filiming on Paros - Where will it be shown

After OneDay, a series that is already sweeping through Netflix, another series, also of British production, is being prepared for filming in Paros, this time on behalf of AMAZON.

The new TV series to be filmed in Paros is entitled "MALICE" and its six episodes will be filmed on the island from May 7 to June 18, 2024.

Two months of filming in Paros for the new series
The series will star notable Greek and foreign actors, it will be shown all over the world and therefore it is a unique opportunity to promote our Greece, especially Paros, to a wide audience with multiple rewarding benefits.

The production has been undertaken by FALIRO HOUSE PRODUCTIONS through the subsidiary company FA.NA PRODUCTIONS. Her productions in Greece and abroad include many films including "The Lobster" by Giorgos Lanthimos, "Before Midnight" by Richard Linklater, etc.

In addition, Faliro House has in recent years taken over the organization of the production in our country of popular films such as "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" by Nia Vardalos, "The Rise" by Akin Omotoso about the life of Giannis Antetokounmpo and others.

"MALICE" takes place with the assistance of the Municipality of Paros and with the support of EKOME (National Center for Audiovisual Media and Communication), an organization supervised by the Ministry of Digital Governance, in the context of attracting international audiovisual producers to Greece, as well as the Ministry of Culture and Sports through the HELLENIC FILM COMMISSION of the Hellenic Film Center.

The film crew will consist of approximately 250 people (crew and actors) who will stay for more than two months on the island.

According to the program, filming will take place, among others, at the Alipranti Shipyards in Monastiri, in Naoussa, in Kolymbithres, in Agios Fokas, in the courtyard of the Holy Monastery of Agios Antonios in Marpissa, in the port of Aliki, on the beach of Agia Irini, in Kostos square and in Parikia.

As with previous film and television productions, film tourism is an important means of promoting Paros, given that the choice of a location for filming movies or series has significant economic benefits even for the local communities while the filming lasts and, of course, for promotion of the destination. Indeed, according to a study carried out on behalf of Tendance Hotellerie, "documentaries, films and TV series are now the second biggest source of inspiration for a trip (20%), now surpassing social media (13%) and are just behind "recommendations from friends or family (42%)".

A study by TCI Research found the same, according to which around 80 million travelers now choose their holiday destination based on movies and TV series.
