NATO Chief in Athens

NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen is expected for a two day visit in Athens tomorrow, and will meet with country's leadership and discuss all bilateral issues.
The issues under scrutiny will include the situation in the eastern Mediterranean, with an emphasis on Syria, illegal migration as an asymmetric threat, NATO's transformation process and expansion, and the allocation of means and forces in NAO missions on behalf of the UN.
Mr Rasmussen will begin meetings with foreign minister Evangelos Venizelos tomorrrow at 18:30 followed by a press briefing by both, after which the minister will host the NATO SG to dinner.
On Friday, Mr. Rasmussen will succesively meet with defense minister Dimitris Avramopoulos, premier Antonis Samaras, and the president Karolos Papoulias.
