Terrorist Identified in Robbery
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Nikos Maziotis, wanted for terrorism, was identified by Greek police (ELAS) as one of the perpetrators of a robbery at the National Bank branch in Methana, Pireaus prefecture, last July.
Police announced their findings and published a series of photos from the bank's CCTV system in which, the person police say is Maziotis, is pictured.
The Felony Tribunal has yet to pass sentence on Maziotis for participation in the Revolutionary Struggle terrorist organization. Although he had been jailed ahead of the trial, Maziotis was released after the 18-month pre-trial jail period expired, and vanished.
ELAS is asking anyone that knows anything relevant to contact authorities.
