Tension as farmers protest outside Parliament

Greek farmers, breeders, aqnd open air market vendors participated in the protest rally against tough tax measures and changes to their social security system.
The protest rally was held at Syntagma Square, in front of the Greek Parliament. Tensions rose and police used tear gas to dispel the crowd.
Also more than 2,000 farmers and breeders from Crete participated in the protest rally.
