Doctors for Eastern Aegean islands

The Ministry of Health has decided to hire more doctors and to send more medical supplies in Eastern Aegean islands’ hospitals, where increased refugee flows are observed.
The Ministry has received extraordinary funding by the European Commission worth 3 million 270 thousand euros for that purpose.
141 hirings (8 month contracts) have been announced for covering medical staff shortages at hospitals on the islands of Lesvos, Kos, Kalymnos, Rhodes, Symi, Chios, Samos, Leros and Tilos.
