Greece UK talks on post-Brexit status of Greek nationals

Greece has started initial talks with the British government on the rights of Greek nationals living, working and studying in the United Kingdom after the country leaves the European Union, Deputy Foreign Minister Terens Quick said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the ministry, Quick was in London where he met with representatives of Greek organizations to discuss how Brexit will affect them, but noted that details on their status will be tackled comprehensively during the talks between the EU and the UK.
He also noted the issue has already been raised between the two countries during a visit by British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson last spring.
"The ministry of foreign affairs has formed inter-ministerial committees and is ready to intervene either in the [ongoing] EU negotiations or in negotiations on a bilateral level," he said.
