Nimetz optimistic about FYROM name issue resolution ahead of Athens visit

United Nations mediator Matthew Nimetz, shortly before arriving in Athens and Skopje, for contacts with the two governments, appeared optimistic that a solution to the name of FYROM could be found.
Today Mr Nimetz will be in Athens for contacts.
In particular, the UN special mediator for the name of FYROM is to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Kotzias, at 13:30. After the meeting Mr. Kotzias will present a working lunch in honor of Mr. Nimetz.
Earlier at 10:30, Matthew Nimetz, will meet with the shadow Foreign Minister of main opposition New Democracy, George Koumoutsakos, at the Grande Bretagne Hotel.
