Tesla sets up research department at NCSR Demokritos

US-based car manufacturer Tesla Inc. owned by Elon Musk, who is also owner of the aerospace company Space X, has formed the company Tesla Greece in the Lefkippos Technological Park at the National Center for Scientific Research 'Demokritos' (NCSR Demokritos) in the Athens suburb of Aghia Paraskevi.
Tesla Greece will initially start as a small research and development office made up of a group of specialist engineers, who will focus on developing electric engines.
Demokritos, in an announcement, expressed "its satisfaction that a collosus of international innovation chose Demokritos to set up one of the its top research departments, the department of designing electric engines. We are very happy to welcome all the talented Greek engineers that will return to Greece to work with us".
