Collaboration of the University of Piraeus with the University of Illinois, Chicago

The University of Piraeus signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The agreement provides for the exchange of students and teachers between the two institutions, joint educational programs, joint research activities, and exchange of academic material.
As the rector of the University of Piraeus, Aggelos Kytos stated, this agreement "widens the accessibility of the University of Piraeus to the high quality American scientific environment and even to the city of Chicago, which has a strong Greek element, the educational and research collaboration of the University of Piraeus with one of the largest and most active academic institutions in the United States ".
The agreement was signed by professors Christos Amirides, rector of the University of Illinois, and Aristotle Tziabiris, President of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus.
At the same time, the Piraeus University delegation made contacts with the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) and the Chicago Council for Global Affairs.
