PM Mitsotakis to meet with Italian counterpart Conte

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in Rome on Tuesday, where he will meet with his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte. According to sources, they will examine the bilateral relations and will discuss prospects for their further strengthening with emphasis on the economy, trade and energy.
In this context, the timely completion of TAP, which will transport natural gas to Europe via Italy, as well as very important energy projects underway, such as EastMed, will also be discussed.
Special emphasis will be given on the migrant-refugee crisis. The two prime ministers will discuss the coordination required at European level and the promotion of common policies and solutions at EU level.
They will also discuss the Western Balkans' accession prospects and the need for this process to stay alive.
