Anyone who found themselves Monday morning at the twin waterfalls in Tzoumerka saw a beautiful sight.
According to Euronews, the waters of the twin waterfalls near the village of Katarraktis named after them in Arta Prefecture in Central Tzoumerka were frozen by the very low temperatures of the season, giving visitors a nice view.
These waterfalls are located on the Athamanic peaks and their waters flow rapidly throughout the year.
Situated at an altitude of 1360 meters near the settlement of Kriopigi in the village of Katarraktis, they are one of the highest in Greece. Above them stand the northwestern peaks of Tzoumerka, creating a magnificent landscape.
