Entrepreneurship, tourism the focus of regional governor's meetings with ambassadors in Alexandroupolis

The ambassadors to Athens of Saudi Arabia Saad Alammar and Austria Gerda Volg met separately on Thursday in Alexandroupolis with Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Christodoulos Topsidis.
According to a relevant statement, Topsidis discussed with the Saudi ambassador the prospects for cooperation in various sectors with a focus on entrepreneurship, showing particular interest in marble production located in the regional units of Drama and Kavala.
The prospects for cooperation at all levels were also discussed during Topsidis' meeting with the Austrian ambassador. In particular, they discussed the great prospect of tourist cooperation, as the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace includes a great number of features that would make it attractive to Austrian tourists. In this context, it wasagreed to explore the possibility of a direct flight from Austria to an airport of the region.
