UN's Downer Sees Developments on Cyprus Issue

The latest developments in the Cyprus issue was at the focus of a meeting between Greek foreign minister Evangelos Venizelos and the special UN envoy for the issue Alexander Downer.
As Mr. Downer stated, the discussion was "very constructive and useful," during a time that is marked by "expectations and resolve" for a resolution of the issue on the part of both sides on Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, as well as the UN secretary general.
Mr. Downer also mentioned that next week the framework of talks will be finalized, noting that process is important as well as substance.
