A 61-year-old Greek male was arrested in the suburb of Paleo Psychiko on Wednesday afternoon, based on a European arrest warrant.
Supreme Court (Areios Paghos) Prosecutor Georgia Adilini on Friday ordered the Piraeus public prosecutors' department to supervise the investigation into what she called "a murderous attack on police officers" outside the "Melina Mercouri" indoor stadium and to determine whether automatically prosecutable offences had occurred, such as criminal organisation, attempted murder, incitement to commit crimes, violence and others, as well as the investigation to locate and arrest those responsible.
Greek police dismantled a gang that had vandalized ATMs throughout the country since last February, whose members - acting absolutely professionally and with a plan - had managed to extract a total of 710,000 euros.
