Double earthquake (3.7 and 4.4) hit Crete after midnight

Two earthquakes measuring 3.7 and 4.4 on the Richter scale, hit the island of Crete in the span of 14 minutes about half an hour after midnight.
A 4.6 earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded at 10:45 on Friday on Crete.
According to the Athens Geodynamics Institute, the tremor’s epicentre is located in the sea region 28 kilometres southwest of Sfakia in Chania.
Greece on Thursday sent some additional aid to earthquake-stricken neighboring Albania, in the form of three mobile cooking units, courtesy of the Greek army, transported to capital Tirana by the Greek Air Force, upon initiative of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
