Greece is now in a much better state than it was a year ago, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday, speaking during a press conference. Once the Greek programme has been implemented, she added, "we will have relatively good prospects."

The sixth meeting on the confidence-building measures (CBMs) between Greece and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) was held in Athens on Tuesday, focusing among other issues, on transport, energy, police cooperation, civil protection and culture. 

The ministry of labour submitted in parliament on Tuesday evening a draft bill on a series of measures designed to protect labour rights.
