International arrivals to Greek airports “soared” from January to September, according to data released by Greek Tourist Organisation (SETE).

Some 20.1 million passengers passed through Greek airports during the first six months of the year, up eight percent compared to the same period in 2015, according to data released on Monday by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority.

Six regional airports in Greece will get EU funding to the tune of 197 million euros towards their upgrade under the EU Infrastructure Investment Plan, the Greek Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Ministry announced.
