In a previously unannounced emergency meeting on Saturday morning, the Government Council for Foreign Affairs and Defense (KYSEA) decided to upgrade 85 F-16s to the Viper standard.
In light of Turkey’s continuous belligerent stance towards Greece, the Governmental Council on Foreign Affairs and Defence (KYSEA) met for 3 hours to discuss the upgrading of 85 F-16 fighter jets and the prospect of leasing two French frigates.
The extraordinarymeeting of the government council on defense KYSEA, which was held at the Maximos Mansion under Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' chairmanship, and the participation of, among others, the Ministers of Defense, Panos Kammenos, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, the Chief of armed forces of Greece, Admiiral Apostolakis and others, has concluded.
