Two European officials paid separate visits to Greek hotspots during this week, including the migrants' reception and identification facility of Moria at the island of Lesvos.
"Europe and Greece should take back the keys of the refugee-migration issue from Erdogan (Recep Tayyip, Turkish President), who is threatening and blackmails us, right now" Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Fofi Gennimata said during her visit to the island of Samos on Saturday.
The population at the Reception and Identification Centre (RIC) in Moria reached an all-time record of 13,842 people on Tuesday, as migrants and refugees continued to pour in to the island from neighbouring Turkey, at a rate of more than a hundred a day.
