New measures to curb the increase in coronavirus cases are expected to be taken by the government, as there are thoughts to make the use of the mask mandatory on outside decks ofships.
Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias, the representative of the health ministry, Professor Sotiris Tsiodras, as well as a team of experts are expected to arrive in Xanthi, northern Greece, on Friday in order to coordinate emergency measures in the area.
The novel coronavirus can be passed on regardless of external temperatures, said the Health Ministry's novel coronavirus spokesman Sotiris Tsiodras on Friday evening, citing the World Health Organization's warning that high temperatures do not kill the virus.
