Olympiakos FC vice president and president of the Greek SuperLeague, Yiannis Moralis said that he will resign from his current posts in order to devote himself to Piraeus, as he will be running for mayor of Greece's largest port.

Piraeus Metropolitan Serapheim is urging shipowner and Olympiakos FC president Vangelis Marinakis to run for mayor of Piraeus. Mr Marinakis, whose father had been on the city council is seriously contemplating running, with Petros Kokkalis the son of the former Olympiakos owner, on his ticket.

Kostas Mitroglou is officially a member of Fulham FC. Just hours before the close of the transfer season, the English team announced that it had garnered the Greek forward with the two sides signing a contract until the summer of 2018.
