Bolivia is a faraway country for Greece, but both share common values, struggles and ideals, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Friday when welcoming Bolivian President Evo Morales to the Maximos Mansion.

The Greek Travel & Tourism sector in 2018 grew at a rate of 6.9 percent – over three and a half times the pace of its wider national economy, which grew by 2.0 percent, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) said on Wednesday. The WTTC represents the global private sector of Travel & Tourism.

Taking into consideration the needs of the recovering Greek economy and aiming to bring in much-needed revenue, the Greek government is examining expanding the current golden visa scheme to include investments in shares and bonds, first announced in 2017.
