French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on his twitter account about his decision to bolster French military presence in the Eastern Mediterranean and did so in Greek (!).
As he wrote:
"The situation in the Eastern Mediterranean is worrying. Turkey's unilateral decisions on oil exploration are causing tensions. These must stop in order for a peaceful dialogue between neighboring and NATO allies to take place.
I decided to temporarily strengthen the French military presence in the Eastern Mediterranean in the coming days, in cooperation with European partners, including Greece."
