Golden Dawn Leaders Offer Written Depositions
Golden Dawn chief Nikos Michaloliakos and second-in-charge Christos Pappas refused to respond to magistrates' queries today.
The two party members offered written depositions, denouncing the added illegal weapons possession charges placed on them. An additional Golden Dawn lawmaker Yiannis Lagos is predicted to take the same stance in his deposition.
The three GD members will be transported to Korydallos Prison where they will remain in custody during their trial. Party backers rallied outside the Athens Appeals Court this morning, protesting the case. Police forces administered tear gas on the crowd, while two reporters were injured in the violent clashes.
