PM Mitsotakis inaugurates Acropolis elevator for people with disabilities (vid)

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was at the inauguration of the elevator for disabled persons on the Acropolis.
"A great and bright day, which proves in practice that the State can work with Institutions that share the same goals, vision, and philosophy, to be given to the world community, on the day of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, such an emblematic work Said the Prime Minister.
The new elevator on the Holy Rock of the Acropolis was built under the good cooperation of the Onassis Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, as stressed by the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni.
Mr. Mitsotakis pointed out that both the new elevator and the new routes make the Acropolis accessible to all those who face mobility difficulties, but also to the elderly.
"This government does not like words, but acts. Therefore, today we give to the public this emblematic work that could not be realized without the help of the Onassis Foundation," noted Mr. Mitsotakis, who reminded that the government has put in public consultation the National Plan for Human Rights of Persons with Disability, which provides accessibility to everyone and everywhere.
