Syriza candidate Rena Dourou, after a true derby last night, was the big winner of her party. She represents the greatest victory of SYRIZA in the most populous region of the country.

The electoral battle is reaching a crescendo and candidates making it to the second round are trying to reel in the voters of opponents who were defeated in the first round. This of course, in many cases, includes sizable chunks of voters that voted for neo-Nazi Golden Dawn.

The battle of words between SYRIZA and veteran PASOK kingpin Theodoros Pangalos has reached a new crescendo after the latter heaped abuse against Rena Dourou and Manolis Glezos, on a radio show.
