Health Ministry Tracks Down Employees Claiming Fake Degrees
The Greek Health Ministry is on the hunt to track down staff members holding fake degrees, and are unfit for their current positions, as stated today by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis.
He commented: "Since the end of 2013, at my orders and those of the general secretary Pelopidas Kalliris, the health ministry's services have launched an exhaustive inspection to ensure that degrees are genuine. We started with hospital directors and continue with everyone working at the health ministry and the bodies it supervises. Already, this stage has started to yield results", according to ANA-MPA.
A doctor claiming fake accomplishment,s has recently been discharged of his position as a Skyros health center director. An additional women holding a senior position was fired for the same thing. The Health Minister stated that while these instances are serious, they are not enough to hold serious consequences on the overall quality of Hellenic health facilities.
