Cyprus Plans Warship Investments
The government of Cyprus is planning to invest in warships next year, while its decision is predicted to be authorized today in Parliament.
Simerini broke the news and stated, "Armoring MEB with sailing opportunities...Decision taken to strengthen the military potential of Cyprus... Israel ready to bring the giving of two patrol vessels issue to the agenda," according to Parikiaki.
It has been reported that the act will be declared today by the Greek Cypriot Parliament Defense Committee. As Simerini penned, a legitimate source claimed that a portion of the Cypriot 2015 armament budget has been allotted for the attainment of military warships. Israel and Cyprus have been collaborating recently and are finalizing patrol watercraft(s) acquirement for the latter.
